As a martyr for the Catholic community, San Gennaro is the patron saint of Naples, Italy and his legacy is honored every year right in the heart of Little Italy in Manhattan. His official feast day is September 19th, the day he perished for his beliefs.

The Stillman School of Business threw a celebration of its own to continue the excitement from the trip to the festival over the weekend. On Monday, September 23rd, the Faculty Library in Jubilee Hall filled with professors and students alike to take advantage of the free Italian cuisine and a good time. The food that was served included but not limited to pasta, heroes and tiramasu accompanied by iced coffee.

This is not the only holiday Stillman embraces throughout the year. Similar lunch themed festivities include Mardi Gras and Cinco de Mayo.

If you want to read more about the history of San Gennaro, visit this link:

http://www.sangennaro.org/about.htm

Sophomore Leadership Students (from left to right) Allison Giosa, Danielle Andreani, and Sophia Joseph at the San Gennaro luncheon

Leadership students sharing their culturally Italian meal with faculty member, Dr. Dan-o

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1459" class="size-large wp-image-1459" alt="Just a fraction of the food that all were able to enjoy!
