\nTime: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
\nLocation: McNulty Lane<\/strong><\/p>\nOn this first day of the Spring Semester, a Community Foodbank truck will be stationed on McNulty Lane (near the Boland gate and the University Center) to collect non-perishable food for Hurricane Sandy relief. The hope is that the Seton Hall community will donate enough food to \u201cstuff the truck,\u201d and help replace the more than 100,000 lbs. of food destroyed by the hurricane.<\/p>\n
Canned goods, pasta, soups, shelf stable milk, rice, cereal and peanut butter are just some of the food items being collected. Bottled water, soda and baby food are not needed at this time.<\/p>\n
This week and next, bags, donated by ShopRite, will be distributed to remind students and employees to bring food items for the January 14 \u201cStuff the truck\u201d event. The bags will be distributed in Residence Halls, at the University Center and several other campus locations.<\/p>\n
You shouldn’t have any trouble locating the truck. Just follow the sound of WSOU, which will broadcast live from the event. Broadcasters will also hand out free giveaways throughout the day.<\/p>\n
Co-sponsors of Stuff the Truck include the Stillman School Market Research Center, the Leadership Development Honors Program, the Marketing Club, and Shoprite\/Wakefern Food Corporation, the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the United States and the largest employer in New Jersey.\u00a0<\/p>\n
